Paragliding from a sky island shrine is such a convenient way to get around.
The Gerudo desert skyview tower is, naturally, broken. It takes me a while to figure out what's going on - in this case, the elevator is broken. This is actually a pretty stupid puzzle imo - the rocks I need to weigh the elevator down are down where the guy is, and the way to get them up is up a ramp just to the left. Sir, just walk around. You're not carrying anything and I don't see any mobility aids. Whatever. There's another geoglyph to mark and - whoa, Farosh is RIGHT there.
I gently paraglide down and land on Farosh. Somehow, I don't get zapped - the element seems to come from his mane, so as long as I stand on the horn, I'm good. It's a beautiful ride, if slow. I saw Naydra go into the hole at Kakariko, conceivably I could ride Farosh to whatever giant pit it sinks into. For a while, that is the plan. But it takes forever, and eventually I get bored and as we approach Kitiwak shrine, i jump off to go do that instead.
I can see the Great Plateau from here. It doesn't look so great now. A bit... collapsed. Actually. But since we are in the area, may as well check it out for old time's sake. Someone's fenced in the hut. Yiga, and they have one of the fashion mushroom people captured. I now have a Yiga mask. I wonder if I can find all three parts of the Yiga outfit if I can sneak around in their bases without getting jumped. And now I have to explore the rest of the plateau. It's so weird - the crashed terrain has changed so much, it's barely recognizable. But I know how to find one place - the temple of time.
It's in, somehow, worse shape than before. Also the goddess statue is trapped "under the water, behind the stone gate"? What gate? What water? There's only one plot water I can think of off of the top of my head - the basin I woke up in, in the Shrine of Resurrection. Of course, that's Yiga too. and a Steward Construct, which straight up says I have to progress the Deeps plot further before it'll talk to me. But I don't wanna go back to the Deeps, and I can't think of any other water. I'm out of ideas. I need the local Skyview.
A handy falling rock allows me to bypass the entire monster fight. Ok, I can see the pond now - where the Cryonis shrine used to be, or near enough. I still don't want to go down there though. There's a geoglyph to the east which I think is a dragon. Let's do that instead. And hey, rubber shirt on the way, along with a shrine and a Korok who wants to go east! Of course I'm horseless right now, and without a Control device, I really don't want to drive lil buddy all the way over there. Mark it down for later.
I still can't properly get eyes on the whole geoglyph, so time for the other Skyview. This one's a little more amusing - the guy fell in a well and got trapped by a treasure chest. It happens to the best of us (who don't have ascend.) And THERE we go. I can get a much better view of the - I'm not actually sure it's a dragon. It turns out, after a LOT of running around and a couple pinecone-fires, it's a molduga. And Ganondorf is leading an army of the Gerudo? Ok. I have to get back over there and see what's going on. Next time! First, I'm heading back to Riverside Stable. I have a Plan (TM).
Future updates will be slower since I won't be binging video games literally all day.
