Breath of the Wild: Iron Chef Hyrule

There's not much left to do now.
  1. Make offerings to all the Springs, in preparation for the dangerous battle ahead of me [COMPLETE]
  2. Reclaim all my memories so I will have a full understanding of the stakes [All except memory #8, in Hyrule Castle Cloisters]
  3. Reforge all of the Champion weapons that I have used until they break, so that when we defeat Ganon, it shall be together [COMPLETE]
  4. Prepare adequate supplies in the form of: 10 each Hearty (+5), Mighty (+3), and Tough (+3) foods or elixirs, 5 Enduring foods/elixirs, 90 Arrows, and 30 of each elemental arrow including Ancient Arrows, so I will not be stopped for want of resources.
  5. Obtain at least one item with Guardian Protection, so I can withstand the force of their eye beams. [COMPLETE]
  6. Upgrade at least one piece of armor to Tier 4, so I can withstand everything else. [COMPLETE]
I did a quick arrow inventory, and found that due to the habit enemies these days have of carrying around elemental arrows that I can loot in bundles of five, I actually already have 40+ of every elemental arrow! Except the ancient arrows. I only have 20 of those. So I went to buy some more. Thanks Robbie! Then I teleported back to Kakariko Village, upgraded my armor one last time, and set up to cook.

I played around with ingredients for my Mighty foods - I had some Mighty Carp, so I salt-grilled those, and then experimented with bananas for a while before settling on simply simmering a whole mess of them.

That left the Tough food. Thankfully, I had Ironshrooms! Four Ironshrooms + 1 Hylian Rice = just enough tough food to push me over!

That's... that's it.

I have everything I need. I have plenty of resources. I have my armor as ready as it's going to get. (Diamond Circlet 3 stars, Champion's Tunic 3 stars, Climbing Pants 4 stars). I have the weapons of my friends. I have all the memories I can recall from out here.

Parcy at the Riverside Stable listed several paths I could take to make my way into the castle in the manner of the species of Hyrule. I could enter in Goron style (walk in), Gerudo style (ride in), Zora style (swim), Sheikah style (sneak in through the east).... but I know how I've been playing. My bread and butter throughout this entire playthrough has been climbing, paragliding, and archery.

I choose to enter in Rito style, soaring from the summit of Mount Drena to land safely within the castle walls.

So I teleported to the Rito Village, where I prayed to Goddess Hylia one last time (and cashed in my shrines for 2 extra hearts). Then I took my horse and rode east, to Mount Drena. There, I set up a campfire upon the summit to wait for the morning.

Tomorrow, we fly.
